Michael received his B.Sc. in MediaLab Arts from Plymouth University, UK and his MFA from the University of South Florida.
Michael has published two books; The Fundamentals of Interactive Media Design (2013) and Videogame Design: Principles & Practices from the ground up (2016) published by Bloomsbury. . Michael’s thoughts and works have been featured in Glitch: Designing Imperfection (2009), Mediating the Tourist Experience (2013), and Design Genius: The Ways and Workings of Creative Thinkers (2014).
Michael has exhibited his work nationally, internationally and online. He has published scholarly papers on video gaming and new media and has an active record of panel participation at conferences such as the College Art Association and Siggraph. Michael has appeared on National Public Radio in Florida and Wisconsin and is currently writing his third book on videogame level design.
Michael teaches a rotation of Digital Media Design 1 & 2, Digital Media Design Workshop, Interactive Design, Videogame Design, Senior Projects, Graphic Design 2 and Advanced Graphic Design.

With fifteen years of experience in the field of Graphic Design, Sasha believes great design comes from the fusion of passion, innovation and a dedication to developing thoughtful visual communication.
Sasha received her Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, PA, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She continued on to complete her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction in Educational Technology from Florida Gulf Coast University. Over the years Sasha has written and instructed both undergraduate and gradate level courses, was a co-presenter at the Association for Educational Communication and Technology (AECT) Conference, and collaborates with faculty members throughout the University on a wide range of projects and student centered exhibitions.
As a Graphic Designer within the Marketing and Communication department at Florida Gulf Coast University, Sasha works with a talented creative team, developing a wide variety of marketing materials, infusing the brand both in print and digitally.
In the Fall of 2016 Sasha will receive her MFA in Media Design from Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida. Sasha is also a member of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA), the professional association for design. Sasha teaches: Principles of Typography, Advanced Typography, Graphic Design 1 and Web Design.
James J. Greco has been adjunct teaching the Photography I class since 2008. He is the advisor for the student Photography Club. James earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with a concentration in graphic design from the University of Central Florida in 1998.
James works full-time for the FGCU University Marketing and Communications Department as a professional photographer and graphic designer. He creates photos and graphics used throughout the University including publications, websites, branding, and social media. James is the creative talent behind @FGCU Instagram and manages @WeAreFGCU Instagram. He began his career at FGCU in 2001.
Michael Owen is a proud FGCU Alum, who went on to study photography at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, graduating in 2015 with his MFA.
In addition to his education, Michael has over a decade’s worth of professional photography experience, ranging from commercial to fine art work. His images have been featured in magazines, blogs, and have won numerous national awards, but his true passion is in educating the next generation of creative artists.
